It's raining jobs for KITSW students

Warangal: As many as 501 students have grabbed placement offers from various multi-national companies (MNCs) during the 2018-19 academic year, Dr Srikanth Pabba, the training and placement officer at KITS Warangal (KITSW) said.

"Of the 501 offers, about 100 students got PPOs and joined as interns in reputed MNCs even before the completion of their graduation. The companies which offered PPOs include MuSigma, GGK Technologies, Nineleaps, Znalytics, Ad3i, Acheron, AIR Worldwide, Aliens Group, Amararaja Batteries, Amrutha Tool Crafts, Raam Group, Uton Energia, VEM Technologies, Prathiraj Metal Masters, Vistex etc. Compared to previous year, PPOs increased three times. The number of placements in core sector was also remarkable this year", he added.

He said that the institute had set up a corporate office in Hyderabad in 2014 which has been working in tandem with Training & Placement Cell to bridge the gap between companies and the college. Several other companies are in the pipeline for campus recruitment and more students are expected to be placed in the coming days in the core and software fields, he added.

KITSW principal Dr K Ashoka Reddy said that over 75 companies assessed students of 2018-19 to offer 501 jobs, with Rs 21 lakhs per annum CTC paid by MuSigma being highest for the year. KITSW students stand first in the State for its number of offers in Infosys (65), Wipro (53) & HCL (31). As many as 69 students got offers in TCS through national level tests. Other companies which offered jobs include CTS (31), Mphasis (27), Red Carpet (23), Raam Group (21), TATA Elxsi (17), Znalytics (16), Amrutha Tool Crafts (12), Atos Syntel (10), Ad3i (11), RAAM Group (19) to name few.

He said that they are encouraging the students to go for six to eight months internship in MNCs, during their eighth semester if they get PPOs.

Training & Placements Dean Y Purandar said: "Company-specific trainings, regular evaluation of the progress of students through platforms like AMCAT, Cocubes and mock interviews conducted by T&P Team helped in yielding good results in the placements this year".

Secretary and Correspondent Capt. V Lakshmikantha Rao and treasurer P Narayana Reddy appreciated principal, staff and students for the success.
