Jaipal Reddy cremated with state honours

Former Union Minister and Congress leader Jaipal Reddy cremated with state honours today afternoon near PV Ghat at Necklace Road. Jaipal's elder son Aravind Reddy performed the last rites of his father.

The police tightened the security at the area as several political personalities attended the funeral including Karnataka CLP leader, former chief minister Siddha Ramaiah and Karnataka former speaker Ramesh Kumar who carried Jaipal's body to the funeral pyre.

The Congress leader passed away around 1.30 am on Sunday while undergoing treatment at Asian Gastroenterology Hospital in Gachibowli.
