Kishan Reddy vows NDRF help for rescue operations

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy expressed shock over the boat tragedy in East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.

The Minister spoke to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and AP DGP Gautam Sawang over phone.

Addressing media here on Sunday, he said the NDRF teams will extend all necessary assistance to the local authorities in the rescue operations until the last person is found out.

He said the police are yet to figure out the final count of the persons died in the tragedy.

However, NDRF teams are already extending its services to the local authorities, he added.
