Kothagudem: ACB sleuths net Sr. Assistant of Bhadrachalam Tahsildar's office

Kothagudem: The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau caught a senior assistant at Bhadrachalam Tahsildar's office red-handedly when he was accepting bribe from a person at his office on Thursday.

Khammam ACB In-charge DSP Madhusudhan informed the press that senior assistant, Kunja Narasimha Rao, was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 from a vehicle mechanic, D Vidyasagar Rao.

The senior assistant demanded the money to process and issue family member certificate which Vidyasagar's mother, Punyavathi, had applied for after her husband's death. When the senior assistant delayed the issuance of certificate, Rao approached the ACB sleuths who laid a trap.

The accused was taken into custody, and would be produced before the ACB Court in Hyderabad, the ACB official said.
