KTR likely to present keynote address at ASCE-EWRI

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao has been invited to the 20th American Society of Civil Engineers - Environmental & Water Resource (ASCE-EWRI) Congress.

Rama Rao is expected to present a keynote address at the event which would be held in Henderson, Nevada between May 17 and 21, 2020.

About 1,000 water and environment professionals would attend the congress. The key speakers would speak on international and regional smart water programmes and systems.

Previously, Rama Rao had presented a keynote address on Telangana's efforts to conserve and distribute water through Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya and Kaleshwaram Projects at 2017 EWRI Congress held in Sacramento, CA.

ASCE-EWRI director Brian Parsons in the invitation said, "we are now aware that the multipurpose life irrigation project, which is touted as the world's largest irrigation and drinking water system, is now complete and community would welcome hearing about the process that leads to its success."
