MPDO staff swindle poll nomination fee

Zaheerabad: It is allegedly said that Zaheerabad MPDO staff have diverted nomination fees of sarpanch elections held in 2018. As per election code deposit fees of concerned candidates should be returned within 45 days of election.

A total of 68 sarpanch candidates and 491 ward member candidates expressed ire over the reckless attitude of MPDO staff. It is learnt that Gollu Sangameshwar filed an RTI regarding the same but didn't get information. Speaking to The Hans India, MPDO Ramulu said the nomination fee amount has been deposited into respective panchayats' accounts.
