Nizamabad: Transgenders financial help to RTC workers

Nizamabad: In a kind gesture, the members of District Transgender Welfare Society supported the RTC employees strike and donated Rs 2,000 to the striking employees here on Monday.

Transgender Welfare Society members Alaka, Zarina, Ganga, Rakshita and others were present on the occasion. In Kamareddy, the RTC workers took out a massive rally on Monday as part of the 45-day RTC strike.

They staged a protest in front of the bus stand. Police set up barricades and deployed police personnel at the bus stand. Tense situation prevailed for some time near the bus stand after the RTC activists reached the spot.
