Opt eco-friendly Ganesh Idols in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Telangana Jagruti State Leader Gandi Kalpana Vishweshwar Rao distributed eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols for free at Mukarampura old vegetable market in Karimnagar on Sunday.

Joint Collector Shyam Prasad Lal, the chief guest at the programme, said that Ganesh idols made with Plaster of Paris are non-biodegradable and badly affects the aquatic life and water bodies. It has many other consequences too, he added.

Whereas, eco-friendly idols, which are made from paper pulp, natural colours and natural gums, save water resources, protects human health and doesn't affect the environment. stating that one should try to protect nature also while celebrating festivals, he requested all to use eco-friendly Ganesh idols for the festival and join hands to save the environment as responsible citizens.
