People from Telangana should travel through Wadapally to enter Andhra Pradesh

People who want to travel to Andhra Pradesh via Nalgonda should pass through Wadapally, said Miryalguda SI Venkateshwar Rao as the Andhra Pradesh government has restricted the travelling through Macherla.

The SI said that the Andhra Pradesh government is not recognizing Macherla as an integrated check post to enter the state after passing through Nagarjuna Sagar. He also said that the people who want to travel to AP through Mancherla have to proceed via Wadapally.

He further asked the people not to face troubles after being stuck at the Macherla check post.

The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday lifted the check posts at Wadapally, Nagarjuna Sagar and Suryapet, two months after the lockdown. Only the passengers with travel permit are being allowed to Andhra Pradesh and the restrictions are being imposed on other vehicles.

On the other hand, the team of doctors who conduct thermal screening and advise home quarantine at the check posts will continue to stay for a week.
