Police should be answerable to the public: SP C Satyanarayana

Nirmal: Police should be answerable to the public, stated Superintendent of Police C Satyanarayana while addressing police Grievance Cell at district police office here on Monday. He received grievances and petitions from people, who came from different areas of the district.

Later speaking at a meeting, the SP told the police officers to respond immediately after receiving the petitions to develop confidence among the people on police department. He wanted the people to inform the police if they found anything fishy in their areas and also about any anti-social activities taking place in their areas to the police immediately. The details of the informers will not be disclosed to others, he assured.
