Moderate to heavy rainfall predicted in Telangana over the next five days, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

The rains are likely to occur in isolated places in districts such as Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Asifabad, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam and Nagarkurnool. The weathermen attributed the reason for the presence of south-west monsoon over Telangana.

The cause of the rainfall is also due to the presence of cyclonic circulation over east Vidarbha in Maharashtra and neighbouring areas. The south-west monsoon has entered into the west and east Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, said Dr K Naga Ratna, director of Indian Meteorological Department, Hyderabad.

On June 15, districts like Jayashankar Bhupalapally and Nirmal received maximum rainfall. The rains also lashed some parts of Hyderabad on Tuesday.
