Refresher Course in Social Sciences at MANUU concludes

Hyderabad: The two-week-long refresher course organized by UGC - Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University( MANUU) ended on 4th September.

The course designed for the faculty of Political Science and Public Administration was attended by 44 Assistant Professors from various Degree Colleges & Universities of different States of India.

Dr. K. Tirupataiah, Former Additional Director General of Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute of Telangana addressed the valedictory session as the Chief Guest. In his address, he said that teachers should lay emphasis on three things - Courage, Ability& confidence. He also urged the participants to publish research articles &papers in peer review Journals. The teacher should be known for his research work, he added. He also distributed certificates among the participants.

Dr. M. A. Sikandar, Registrar and I/c Director, UGC-HRDC, MANUU while emphasizing the importance of Political Science and Public Administration as streams of Social Sciences said that both the subjects are interrelated to each other.

The Deputy Director of the Centre, Dr Tahseen Bilgrami conducted the programme. Course Coordinator of Refresher Course, Shabana Perveen, Department of Political Science presented the report. Dr Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Centre proposed the vote of thanks.
