 Telangana High Court

Hyderabad: The High Court division bench headed by Acting Chief Justice MS Ramchandra Rao and Justice T Vinod Kumar on Monday directed the State government to permit registration of lands pertaining to Greater Golkonda Estates Private Limited, located in Survey number 4 of Ghansimiyaguda village of Shamshabad mandal in Rangareddy district within four weeks.

The bench was dealing with a plea filed by Greater Golkonda Estates Private Limited, which complained that the Shamshabad mandal Tahsildar was not registering the lands pertaining to the company despite the fact that it was a private land and the State government had no claim over the land as the issue had been already settled in the Supreme Court.

The ACJ, who was visibly miffed with office of Advocate General seeking more time into the issue, said, "You are demeaning the office of the Advocate General by asking this court to accord more time to get instructions in this issue despite giving you ample time on the last date of hearing."

"One day one Government Pleader appears and on the next date of hearing, another Government Pleader appears and conveniently seeks more time... What is this behaviour of the Government Pleaders?" the ACJ questioned, making it clear that the State government cannot make any claim on the said lands in any capacity as the issue was already settled in the Supreme Court. The court adjourned the matter for four weeks.
