Second phase of Rythu Bandhu cheques to be distributed in a week

The government has decided to distribute the second phase of Rythu Bandhu cheques in a week to the farmers for Yasangi crops. Around 44 lakh farmers were benefitted with the scheme in the first phase. The cheques were given to the farmers before the assembly elections in Telangana in the first phase.

However, the process was disrupted somehow and seven lakh farmers did not get the aid. These farmers will get the cheques in a week as the government has geared up to release Rs 800 crores for the scheme.
