Selfie turns fatal as three drown in Jangaon

Three people were accidentally slipped into a lake on Saturday while clicking selfies here at Jangaon.

The victims identified as Avinash (32), Sangeetha (19) and Sumalatha (18), all the residents of Mekalakattu of Raghunathpalli fell into the Bommapur lake at Narmetta mandal. The bodies were fished out and sent for post-mortem. A case was registered by the police.

On May 4, four of a family drowned in a village tank at Kolanur in Peddapalli district. Sathuri Rajaiah (70) took her grandchildren to the village tank to teach swimming where they accidentally drowned.
