String of robberies in single night rock Parigi

Parigi: A string of robberies in single night on Thursday rocked the town. Police said that the houses of RTC conductor Gopal, home guards Balaji, Ramdas in Venkateswara Colony were burgled.

The three were in their duties while their family members went for summer vacation. Sensing no one in the house, robbers broke open and decamp with booty. The silver weighing 30 tolas, one tola gold, and Rs 5,000 cash were stolen, the victims said.

Police registered a case and investigation is on. Colony residents criticised that the police did not act promptly when a series of robberies took place a month ago. "These incidents are taking place due to negligence of the officials and incapability of night patrolling," they alleged. They appeal to the authorities to take proper action to prevent such incidents.
