Telangana figures among fastest-growing States: TRS MP Dr G Ranjith Reddy

Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd Vice Chairman & Managing Director EV Narasimha Reddy said that both government and CII working closely on a few key policy initiatives to make industry more vibrant. He mentioned that TS-iPASS was giving the much-needed push up for the industry in terms of approvals well within time.

Madhapur: TRS MP Dr G Ranjith Reddy has claimed that Telangana has emerged as one of the fastest growing State exceeding the growth rate of the country.

Addressing the annual meeting and conference on T-SET for Growth organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Telangana with the theme 'Developing a Sustainable Economy through Technology & Innovation' here on Friday, Dr Ranjith Reddy congratulated CII for celebrating 125 years and playing a pivotal role in the growth story of Indian Industry. He mentioned that Telangana has become as one of the best states in terms of technology & innovation because of the proactive and thoughtful leadership. The initiatives of government such as T-Hub, which produced hundreds of entrepreneurs and also TASK which trained and skilled lakhs of people. He also said that Telangana is adapting and imbibing latest technologies and binging policies to support them such as Drones policy and Blockchain district and even announced this year as year of AI etc.

Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (TSIIC) Vice Chairman & Managing Director EV Narasimha Reddy said that both government and CII working closely on a few key policy initiatives to make industry more vibrant. He mentioned that TS-iPASS was giving the much-needed push up for the industry in terms of approvals well within time. Telangana has become a very progressive state in terms of innovation housing not less than 25 innovation centres in Hyderabad. RICH is another initiative of government, connecting all of those innovation centres and institutions. He also mentioned that Industry should not only focusing ease of doing business but also cost and quality of doing business.

During his welcome address, D Raju, Chairman, CII Telangana and MD & CEO, Kirby Building Systems & Structures Pvt Ltd., said that CII is working closely with the Government, Industry and Institutions to encourage sustainable and inclusive growth in the State. CII has also been able to focus on developing the Competitiveness of the Industry in the State, in several industrial sectors such as Agriculture, Manufacturing, MSMEs, and Information Technology etc. Focus has been increased on emerging areas as the Defence Sector, Avionics, and especially the Primary Sector.

Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman, CII Southern Region & Chairman & Managing Director, Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd said that today's technological revolution is a time of enormous promise to accelerate progress of our economy on the lines of sustainable Development Goals, both broadening and deepening current action. He also stressed on the need for empathy in business.

Prof B S Murthy, Director, IIT Hyderabad, mentioned that the IIT Hyderabad initiatives supporting innovation, emerging technologies, entrepreneurship. The conference was well attended by over 250 participants from Industry and Academia. (INN)
