Telangana HC CJ transferred to Calcutta HC

Hyderabad: Union Ministry of Law and Justice has issued a notification transferring the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court to Calcutta High Court.

The transfer of Justice T B Radhakrishnan was in the news since December 12 after the collegium took a decision to transfer him to Calcutta High Court.

The initial recommendation of the collegium was sent back for reconsideration. However, the collegium had reiterated its decision and the Union government was then bound to take a decision.

Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, second in command, is expected to assume the post of Chief Justice of Telangana High Court subsequent to the transfer of Justice Radhakrishnan.
