Telangana HC stays recruitment of secondary grade teachers

The Telangana High Court on Thursday stayed the ongoing recruitment process of secondary grade teachers.

The vacation bench comprising of Justice MS Ramachandra Rao and Justice A Rajashekar heard the plea filed by 27 candidates who were qualified in the written examination but were not selected as they could not secure the cut off marks.

The petitioner P Ramakrishna and 26 others approached the High Court alleged that the authorities have published a list which consists of the names of several candidates who were selected for a higher category of teacher posts.

The state school education department along with the public service commission had issued a notification in 2017 for the recruitment of 5,415 posts in October 2017.
