V Hanumantha Rao to meet new Governor on pathetic condition of government hospitals

Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee secretary V Hanumantha Rao on Tuesday said that he would meet the new Governor as soon as she takes charge and submit a memorandum on the deteriorating condition of the government hospitals in the State.

He said that the new Governor being a doctor would be a right person to approach. He would ask her to visit the government hospitals first to ensure better conditions there.

He addressed the media after the visit to Quarantine Hospital of Nallakunta and Osmania General Hospital.

He said that the Chief Minister should focus on the health of the people of the state apart from constructing Kaleswaram project. He said that the Chief Minister should immediately review the situation.

He said that the hospitals at Nallkunta and Osmania were full of fever patients. They have been complaining of dengue, malaria and flu.

They have queued up in the hospitals like getting the benefits of ration cards and others. He said that he does not agree with the claim of the Health minister that there were no dengue cases.

He said that there were no enough beds for the patients nor lab facilities, inadequate staff nurses, doctors and the outsourced staff is not paid with the salaries for months.
