"Katakshapur is a new Gram Panchayat, and we used to have as many as eight Ganesh pandals in the past. This year we have come together and passed a resolution to set up one Ganesh pandal in our GP region. We are doing our bit for the conservation of the environment by installing eco-friendly clay-made Ganesh idol. Besides upholding the spirit of festival, the concept of 'One Village – One Idol' is likely to unite the villagers, he said.

Meanwhile, the villagers also formed an utsav committee to look after the arrangements of Navaratri festivities. Utsav Committee: President Keerthi Laxman, Vice-President Azmeera Sridhar and Secretary Damarakonda Ramesh.
