World Puppetry Day

Nori Art and Puppetry Centre will be celebrating World Puppetry Day on March 19 at Saptaparni.

A new production 'Puppet tales of Wisdom' will be launched at the event.

The other productions 'The Pious Cat' is adapted from the 'Amar Chitra Katha' collection and 'The Magic Shankh' is adapted from a 'Treasury of Indian tales.'

The type of puppets used are glove, rod mouth and rod, one can see the contemporary bunraku style of puppetry.
