Coronavirus positive cases are on the rise in Andhra Pradesh from the last ten days amassing nearly a thousand cases on a daily basis. According to the latest media health bulletin released by the state, as many as 845 new Coronavirus cases reported in the last twenty-four hours taking the tally to 16,097 on Thursday. The latest cases include 812 local cases, 29 migrants, and 4 foreigners. The state has conducted 14,285 tests in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, the state reported five deaths that include one each from Kurnool, Krishna, Anantapur, Srikakulam, and Guntur taking the total fatalities in the state to 198 and the recovery number stands at 7313 along with 281 patients getting discharged from the hospitals in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, the active cases stand at 8586 active cases in Andhra Pradesh.

Anantapur district recorded 134 cases in the last 24 hours followed by East Godavari 122, Guntur 104 Kadapa 101. However, Kurnool is leading with 2120 total coronavirus cases. The state has so far conducted 9,32,713 tests, which is the first state in the country to do so many tests. Meanwhile, despite unlock, 2.0 begin a yesterday, the district administration in the state is contemplating imposing lockdown where the cases are more in number.
