A newly married woman attempts suicide by jumping into Krishna river, saved by NDRF staff

A woman attempted suicide days after her wedding by jumping into a Krishna river in Vijayawada district on Sunday morning. The incident occurred near Ibrahimpatnam Ferri in Vijayawada. However, the Andhra Pradesh NDRF staff rescued her from the death.

The deceased is identified as the Hemalatha a resident of Mangalagiri in Guntur district. The trigger behind the extreme step is not known yet.

Police are trying to ascertain the details of the victim and reason for the extreme step.
