Andhra Pradesh MLA Alla Rama Krishna wrote a letter to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the committee, which constituted for cancellation of land acquisition held in previous governments.

As Mangalgiri is the ideal place for building the capital city, the minister said that he would request the committee to create a capital city in Amaravati.

He alleged that the last TDP government is forcibly acquiring land for the real estate business even though the farmers are reluctant to do so. Cases have been filed against farmers who refused land acquisition. The minister said that the crops were burnt. "Three to five crops a year were illegally acquired. Sivaramakrishna Commission also recalled that the capital of Amravati was not the right choice." the MLA asserted.

The government has set up an expert committee on AP capital development. The Expert Committee issued orders on the rules. The Expert Committee will be visiting various parts of the state. CRDA Additional Commissioner Vijay Krishnan has been appointed as the nodal officer for coordination with the government. The report will be issued six weeks after the first meeting.
