The government of Andhra Pradesh has provided good news to the victims of Kidney Disease. The decision was made to allow free travel on state road transport buses for kidney patients. The decision taken by the state government is already a relief for the affected families as the travel costs are becoming burden. As many as 2856 Kidney patients will be provided with free travel in RTC buses under 38 zones of the Srikakulam district.

This will give free services to dialysis patients in the district's government hospitals. In addition, those who are above the serum creatinine threshold and are at high risk of kidney disease are also able to travel freely in remote areas such as Visakhapatnam and other areas to seek help from specialist doctors.

The new government has given a pension of Rs. 10,000 per month to patients who undergo dialysis. Locals are praising YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for his decision providing RTC bus passes for patients to travel to dialysis centers for free. "The government has taken a decision regarding free travel for kidney patients. Accordingly, we will take steps to serve the victims according as soon as the departmental orders are issued," Andhavarapu Appalaraju, Regional Manager, Srikakulam.
