Andhra Pradesh Coronavirus: After a sigh of relief with less number of cases being reported in the last couple of day, Andhra Pradesh has reported a big number of cases on Friday with 57 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the tally to 2157 along with 48 fatalities.

Andhra Pradesh Coronavirus: After a sigh of relief with less number of cases being reported in the last couple of day, Andhra Pradesh has reported a big number of cases on Friday with 57 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the tally to 2157 along with 48 fatalities. As many as 1252 persons have been cured and discharged so far and the active cases stands at 857.

Of the 57 cases detected in the state, the highest number of 14 Covid-19 cases were reported from Nellore and Chittoot district. Of this, most cases are said to had a travel history to Koyambedu market in Chennai. Similarly, 9 new cases reported from Krishna district, 8 cases from Kurnool, four Anantapur, 3 in Vizianagaram two each in Kadapa and Visakhapatnam and one in East Godavari district respectively.

Apart from home cases, 45 positive cases detected from the samples of migrant returnees to Andhra Pradesh, the state nodal officer reported that 34 belong to people returning from Maharashtra, while 11 were detected in migrants returning from Rajasthan respectively.

Over the past 24 hours, Andhra Pradesh conducted 9038 tests, while an overall tests conducted so far crosses 2 lakhs.
