In a bizzare incident, the family members attacked the young married woman. The tragic incident took place on Tuesday near Sangasanipalli in Sitaramapuram mandal of Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district. According to the police, a man of Singareddypalli in the mandal a woman named Sushma ( name changed) of Devammacheruvu village have been in love for four years.

In this backdrop, on the 5th of this month, the family went out and got married at a temple in Allagadda of Kurnool district. The girl's parents lodged a complaint at the Sitaramapuram police station that their daughter had not been missing. The police who conducted the investigation found out that both of them were with relatives in Allagadda. Sub Inspector Rabindranath went with the staff and brought them both to Sitaramapuram on Tuesday and produced them at Tehsildar Venkata Sunil. Balakrishna sent them home after Anita told them that the two were majors and would go with her husband.

Upon learning of this, Sushma's relatives intercepted and attacked her near Sangasanipalli. Balakrishna beat Anita and poured Pesticide in her mouth. At the same time, Balakrishna's relatives fled when the police arrived. Anita, who went unconscious, was rushed to Udayagiri Hospital in a 108 vehicle was then taken to Atmakur for better treatment.
