AP govt issued land titles to 60,000 families, says Chandrababu

The initiative covers land worth ₹52,000 crore and aims to provide secure ownership and reduce land disputes through a new land records system.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu says land title deeds are being issued to 60,000 low-income families in Visakhapatnam, Mangalagiri and Vijayawada.
In Vijayawada, 26,000 families are due to receive deeds. The government says the land allocated across the three areas is worth ₹52,000 crore, including ₹28,112 crore in Vijayawada.
Each family will receive an average of 130 square yards. In total, the allocations cover 34 lakh square yards across 707 acres, according to the announcement.
Mr Naidu said the government was addressing long-standing land issues and upholding the dignity of poorer residents. He added that a statewide land resurvey had been completed and that official land passbooks bearing the state emblem were being issued as part of a new system intended to reduce disputes.
