The authority warned of gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-60 kmph along the North Andhra coast and predicted rains accompanied by lightning in parts of Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, NTR, Eluru, Nandyal, Krishna, and Kurnool districts over the next three hours. They also issued advisories to people not to stand under trees or hoardings during lightning and gusty winds and to avoid trying to cross overflowing streams or canals.
