The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) resumed services in the state after the gap of nearly two months.

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) resumed services in the state after the gap of nearly two months. Bus services from Pandit Nehru bus station in Vijayawada resumed to Vizag and other places. Wearing a mask is mandatory for all passengers in the buses, and RTC has made arrangements for sanitization of passengers. The buses were sprayed with disinfectant, and after reaching the destination, the buses will be resprayed with disinfectant.

Physical distancing is being followed in APSRTC Bus

Bus services from Krishna district to Vizag, Kakinada, Eluru, Srikakulam, Tirupati and other places planned by the RTC have started its services. All buses are operated without conductors and provided with an online booking facility for boarding the buses. Some passengers mainly the short distance passengers prefer the current booking facility.

On the other hand, physical distance is maintained in the buses by altering the seating pattern in the buses. Initially, 1683 buses are operated in 436 routes in the state, and gradually the services will be increased.
