As part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation Program (SVEEP), the Prakasam district nodal officer organised awareness programme for the tribal voters at their hamlets in the Peda Dornala and surrounding areas on Sunday evening.

Ongole: As part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation Program (SVEEP), the Prakasam district nodal officer organised awareness programme for the tribal voters at their hamlets in the Peda Dornala and surrounding areas on Sunday evening.

As part of the SVEEP programme, the nodal officer Dr B Ravi explained the tribal voters that every voter should utilise their right to vote in the elections without fail. He advised them to vote for the best candidate without being influenced for any reason.

He explained the functioning of the electronic voting machine (EVM), voter verified paper audit trial (VVPAT) to the people and asked them to try on the demo machines. The tribal people participated in the programme with much interest and asked questions about the voting process, EVM and VVPAT and thanked the officials for reaching to them in the forest.
