Srikakulam: TDP government has neglected Srikakulam district during its rule, alleged YSRCP regional coordinator and Srikakulam MLA candidate Dharmana Prasada Rao.

Participating in a meeting conducted by advocates of District Bar Association here on Wednesday, he appealed to advocates to explain people how it had neglected the district by not allotting funds for development and establishing the Central government institutions.

On the occasion, he read out the institutions which are being allotted in other districts. During TDP rule, debts of state rose up to Rs 2.25 lakh crore but even development works worth Rs 20,000 crore not witnessed in Srikakulam district for its share in debts, Prasada Rao pointed out.

He assured the people that the YSRCP would pay Rs 5,000 as monthly allowance to new advocates and enhance welfare fund amount.

YSRCP Srikakulam MP candidate, D Srinivas, party leaders MV Padmavathi, A.Varahanarasimham, AP State Bar Council member G Vasudeva Rao, District Bar Association president B Damodar Rao and executive members, senior advocates, T Mohan Rao, T Radakrishna, Y Murali Mohan Rao, S Krishna Mohan, V Krishna Chand, P V Ramana Rao, T Chandrasekhara Rao and Y Muralimohan Rao participated. On the occasion, advocates felicitated Dharmana Prasada Rao and D Srinivas.
