Guntur: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Assistant General Manager KRD Karthik said that the banks were coming forward to sanction loans to the Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the State. He addressed a meeting held at Zilla Parishad Conference Hall in Guntur city on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the AGM urged the women to avail the benefits of welfare schemes to come up in life. He said women play a key role in financial management in the family.
ICDS Project Director K Manoranjani said that they would conduct Poshan Abhiyan Fortnight celebrations from March 8 to 22.
She said that 59 per cent of the women have been suffering from
anemia.
