Home minister Mekathoti Sucharita on Tuesday inspected Mahila Police station and interacted with the women victims on Tuesday.
Guntur: Home minister Mekathoti Sucharita on Tuesday inspected Mahila Police station and interacted with the women victims on Tuesday. On being told by a complainant that her case was being neglected by the police officials, she enquired about the case and checked the records.
Police officials explained to her that her husband who addicted to bad habits had come to his senses and promised to take her back and even gave them a letter. Sucharita then assured the victim that police would conduct counselling and do justice to her as per law.
Speaking to media, the home minister said she had directed the police to respond immediately to complaints and speed up investigation of the cases. She also told them to implement zero FIR immediately which enables victims to lodge complaints anywhere.
