Guntur: Rural SP Ch Vijaya Rao on Monday directed the officials to strictly implement the lockdown orders as instructed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He conducted a set conference with the police officials from the DPO in Guntur city. He gave instructions to them on lockdown. He directed the police officials to intensify vehicle checking and set up check-posts at important places and check the all the vehicles.
He made it clear that inter-state transportation will be allowed for essential commodities. Vehicles carrying patients to the hospitals and vehicles transporting perishable food items will be allowed. He instructed the officials not to allow private employees to move on the roads and allow government employees after checking.
He instructed the police officials to conduct corona awareness programmes within their police station limits. He directed the police officials to take action, if any trader sells essential commodities at higher prices.
