Tension prevailed in Magumanchu palli village of Jammalamadugu mandal when the police ignored to allowed YSR Congress functionaries into the village for conducting election campaign.

According to the sources when former MP YS Avinash Reddy along with YSR Congress Jammalamadugu assembly nominee Dr Sudheer Reddy with big number of party functionaries came to Magumanchu palli village around 10:15AM on Thursday.

When they tried to gain entry into the village, women in large numbers rushed to the spot and entered heat exchange with the YS Avinash Reddy warned him YSR Congress functionaries not to entered into their village.

In this connection while situation is going out of hands the police administration which had already deployed police personals in large numbers cleared they should allow only YS Avinash Reddy and their Party nominee sudheer Reddy into the village in view of preventing untoward incidents.

However this was reluctant by YSR leaders, leads prevailing Tension at the spot. Police said situation is under control as police pickets were continued to be in the village till conclusion of elections.

It may be recalled that several villages in Jammalamadugu mandal like Devagudi, Sunnapuralla palli, Sugumanchu palli etc are being under influence of C Adinarayana Reddy family for several decades.

In the first week of March same situation prevailed at Sunnapuralla palli village when YS Avinash Reddy, Dr Sudheer Reddy along with supporters tried to gain into the village for welcoming some families to join with YSR Congress.

It maybe recalled that Marketing minister C Adinarayana Reddy has been contesting as TDP nominee for kadapa Locksabha seat, P Ramasubba Reddy as Jammalamadugu assembly segment candidate.
