Tirupati: TTD Joint Executive Officer B Lakshmikantham on Saturday inspected various TTD institutions and directed officials to take up repair works and implement welfare measures for benefit of students and devotees.
After inspecting the SV Deaf and Dumb School, the JEO said steps were taken to provide good food and protected drinking water to inmates and directed officials to immediately take up repair works and resolve staff shortfalls.
He also inspected the physically challenged training centre where students are being imparted training as fitters and turners.
Developmental works worth Rs 1.1 crore were taken up at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy hostel. After inspection of the SV Ayurveda Hospital, the JEO said an additional outpatient ward was being proposed to meet the demand of patients.
