The death of a student who hails from the Kadapa district in Ukraine has become a concern to the authorities and the parents.
Going into details, Subba Reddy and Bharathi a resident of Rajupuram panchayat, Bestapalle of Penangalur Mandal in Kadapa district, is living in Kuwait for livelihood. His son Santosh Reddy who was enrolled at Kharkiv National Medical University in March 2018 to study medicine. He was accidentally fell out of a double cot bed at the hostel on April 25 which led to a severe headache.
Santosh Reddy was rushed to the nearby hospital by fellow students. Doctors have declared him dead of infection while undergoing brain surgery. However, with son's body in Ukraine and parents trapped in Kuwait due to imposition of curfew there was no chance for repatriation to the country.
This has led to a tearful end for the parents and they have urged the government to bring the body of their son to India.
