Naguluppalapadu (Prakasam dist): Union minister of state for home Gangapuram Kishan Reddy said that he would try to convince Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take up categorisation of SC reservations. Supporting Kishan Reddy, the AP Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy announced that he would convince the AICC to support the SC categorisation bill, whenever it is introduced in Parliament.

Kishan Reddy and Raghuveera Reddy along with a number of BJP and Congress leaders from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana participated in the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi's (MRPS) celebration of 25 years, Madiga Atmagaurava Sabha, at its founding place, Edumudi village in Naguluppalapadu mandal in Prakasam district on Sunday evening.

The speakers are all praise for the untiring movement for all these years led by the MRPS founding president Manda Krishna Madiga for their primary demand categorisation of SC reservation into A, B, C, D groups and announced their support for the cause. They congratulated the cadre and leadership of the MRPS for being part of the success of many social movements including the one, free heart operations to children.

Addressing the meeting, Kishan Reddy claimed himself as the brother of Krishna Madiga and a friend and member of MRPS. He said that he is part of the MRPS movement and also participated in it with Krishna Madiga in many instances. He said that hundreds of children are used to die with heart diseases due to malnutrition in 2000's.

He remembered a series of programmes of Krishna Madiga with more than 3,000 of those children and their parents in Hyderabad and its turnout into a protest in front of Ambedkar statue after a boy died. He praised the MRPS founder for his stubbornness in the face of warnings by the chief minister and leaving the place only after a GO was released to conduct free operations for all children suffering from heart diseases.

Kishan Reddy said that many people tried to defame, insult and even eliminate Krishna Madiga and destabilise MRPS. He announced that he will try to convince the Prime Minister in favour of the categorisation and assured that BJP will not damage the opportunities of others with it.
