Visakhapatnam: YSRCP leader Lakshmi Parvathi has accused the TDP of resorting to large scale corruption till the last minute before stepping out after elections. Addressing media here on Wednesday, she said the TDP government had cheated the farmers of Amaravati and in several instances, it has forcibly grabbed their lands. She said it was because of the farmers' resistance against the government that the World Bank had gone back on its loan planned for the State.

Lakshmi Parvathi pointed out that the BJP, Jana Sena and the Left parties who had met the farmers of region were clearly told that the TDP government had forcibly taken away the lands from them. However, it is unfortunate that the party is turning its tables on the YSRCP government. She wondered whether Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had at any time announced that the capital would be shifted to Donakonda.

She sought explanation why the buildings constructed by the TDP spending crores have developed leakages during the floods and questioned the quality of construction. Similarly, if the farmers of capital region were happy, why did the TDP lose all the four constituencies coming under the capital region, she wondered. She suggested the TDP to play a positive role as the constructive opposition rather than meddling with the day-to-day administration.
