The weather department has issued a rain forecast for Andhra Pradesh predicting the low-pressure area in the southeastern Bay of Bengal. It is also stated that the low pressure would strengthen by May 15 and turn into a cyclone by May 16 evening. With this, the heavy rains are expected to hit the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The meteorological department predicts that there could be rains along with thunderstorms, and lightning today and tomorrow in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Fishermen have been warned not to go to sea for fishing after 15 of this month. It is also predicted that there will be low pressure in the Andaman in the southeast Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours, which would result in rains along with thunderstorms and lightning in Telangana.
