Visakhapatnam: The TDP has urged the government to initiate immediate measures to improve healthcare in the district in the wake of three deaths, including a doctor, due to dengue.

Addressing the media here on Thursday, TDP MLAs P G V R Naidu and Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu pointed out that the district administration took no steps to improve the health sector in spite of the seriousness of the situation. It was unfortunate that no review meeting was conducted on dengue deaths, they lamented.

The MLAs recalled that during the TDP regime, the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu used to personally monitor when the situation such as this arises. The MLAs demanded Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to take concrete measures on a war-footing to bring down the dengue and other mosquito-borne viral diseases in the district.
