Ongole: The selection trials were held to select the fencing game for the district level at Narayana Kids School in the Under-14 years and under-17 years' category boys and girls on Sunday.
The selected players will represent the district at the 6th State Fencing Championship held at Ongole, said the Prakasam district fencing association secretary V Nageshwara Rao. About 150 players took part in the selection trials.
The selected players in under 14 years category girls are Afifa, Bouthikanjali, Pravallika, Geetanjali, K Nagajahnavi, M Likitha, M Lakshmi, K Akshaya, B Namratha, Pavani and Y Veenitha.
In under 17 years category are P Vijayalakshmi, G Rachana Reddy, A Prashanti, Ch Haripriya, R Keertana, K Sandhya, E Shivani, A Srikavya, R Keerthi, P Haripriya, J Sai Ankitha and M Gopika. In the Under-14 years category the selected boys are KYVS Bhargavi, K Sahigna, V Ramcharan, B Hemanth, S Srayan, P Haneesh and M Vasudeva Raju.
In the under-17 years category, the players are KV Bhanu Prakash, KV Satyasai, PVV Koushik Yadav, Sk Akram, B Naveen, Ch Phanidhar, S Dharanesh M Sai Amar, P Harinetra, T Bala Sai Vinit, RV Saichandu and S Sridhan.The coaches of the selected teams are R Naga Chiranjeevi, R Vijayalakshmi and B Bharat, said the secretary Nageswara Rao.
