The death toll in Prakasam road accident has reached to 10 on Friday.
The death toll in Prakasam road accident has reached to 10 on Friday. Bhagavathi, 35, died while undergoing treatment at Rims hospital in the wee hours on Friday. It is learnt that a serious accident has occurred near the Machavaram village in Naguluppalapadu Mandal in Prakasam district. Nine people were killed on the spot when a tractor with labourers at Kummari Donka electrocuted after colliding with an electric pole.
The accident occurred when the labourers are returning home after their works on a tractor at 6 pm on Thursday. Ministers Srinivas and Suresh will be visiting the victims on Friday. The government has already announced a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh to the deceased families.
The accident seems to have happened due to over speed and driver's negligence. However, all the deceased belonged to Machavaram SC Colony and all of them are said to be relatives.
