Rajamahendravaram: Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is taking historical decisions for the welfare of Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Minorities and others.
He performed paalabhishekam to Jyotirao Phule's statue here on Saturday under the aegis of YSRCP BC Cell.
The programme was held on the occasion of Pilli Subash Chandra Bose and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana being elected as Rajya Sabha members. Later, addressing a meeting, he said the Chief Minister is striving to fulfil Dr B R Amedkar's and Jyothi Rao Pule's dreams.
He further said the TDP MLCs were stalling various bills on the directions party president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Meanwhile, MP Margani Bharat Ram performed paalabhishekam to the Chief Minister's flexi. Party leaders M A Rao, R S P Rao, B R Kumar, K Sagar and others were present.
