The incident came to light after a complaint lodged by aunt. Seven-year-old Deepthi Sree Chinnari a second-grade student kidnapped at Netaji Municipal Primary School at the Jagannathpuram water tank on Friday. However, the girl's grandmother suspects the stepmother Shanti Kumari.

The grandmother accused of inhumanely assaulting Deepthi Sree twice in the past. She said his son had a second marriage with Shanti Kumari post the death of girl's mother. The police have taken the girl's stepmother Shanti into custody and interrogating.

However, with Shanti's irresponsible answers, the price have launched the search operations.
