Former Sarpanch hacked to death by local TDP leaders at Alladapeta village in Jalumuru mandal in Srikakulam district on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as T. Achchayya, 55. He served as Sarpanch of the village and worked for YSRCP in general elections.
Since then local TDP leaders developed a Sarpanchgrudge against him and killed him by attacking with swords. His body was shifted to government RIMS hospital Srikakulam. In the attack younger brother of Achchayya and his sister-in-law also sustained injuries. Police took four accused into their custody.
