Srisailam: The Srisailam Devasthanam has revised its protocol darshan arrangements and Sparsha Darshan schedule to streamline queue management and ensure greater convenience for general devotees visiting the shrine.

Announcing the changes on Sunday, Executive Officer M Srinivasa Rao stated that Sparsha Darshan (touch darshan) will now be permitted exclusively during specified hours at night on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

The morning and afternoon Sparsha Darshan facilities will remain completely suspended on these three peak days to prevent overcrowding. However, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, the existing system of offering Sparsha Darshan thrice daily at designated slots will continue as usual.

Additionally, in view of the anticipated heavy rush during the forthcoming auspicious Shravana month, morning and afternoon Sparsha Darshan will also be suspended on Fridays.

Addressing protocol arrangements, the EO emphasized that VIPs and prominent dignitaries planning visits must intimate their travel schedule to the Devasthanam at least two days in advance.

Likewise, recommendation letters for accommodation or darshan must be sent two days prior on the official letterhead of the recommending authority to [email protected] or shared via WhatsApp at 9160016215. Appeal for public cooperation, EO Srinivasa Rao affirmed that the revised system is designed to drastically reduce waiting times for common pilgrims while maintaining orderly, transparent protocol services for dignitaries across all peak pilgrimage days.
