Students promote road safety with roses in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Giving away chocolates and roses to those who adhered to traffic rules and holding placards and banners that highlighted the perils of drunk driving, not fastening seatbelts and over speed, an army of students created awareness on road safety at Maddilapalem Junction on Saturday.

Those pursing various courses at Varnika Hotel management and aviation business management approached the passers-by to appreciate them for wearing helmets and fastening seatbelts while commuting. Holding a rose and flashing a smile, the students came forward to greet the commuters for leading by example in the three-hour-long awareness drive.
